X3: Terran Conflict
Pretty sure I read somewhere (maybe in another forum) that someone was complaining about trying to capture ships while on a mission, and the ship(s) vanished when the mission was over. Did some testing and found that is true. I had a mission to kill a pirate. He was in an Osprey and had another pirate ship with him that was a Centaur. I had my marines capping the Centaur and I killed the Osprey, and the Cenatur (and my marines) vanished!
So... I made a mod (read: hack, lol) that stops the game from doing the "ship cleanup" on Assassinate and "Protect the Station" missions. It may actually stop any ship cleanup on any type of mission. I did some testing myself, and it appears to be working good.
Need whomever's interested to run the mod and run around doing some assassinations and canceling missions and whatnot to be sure there's not a problem I haven't seen.
This was likely only needed around X3TC 1.x. It is also, as the author indicates, completely untested.
